Returns & Refunds Policy

At J&M Famous Biltong, we are committed to supplying products that are fresh, safe, and of the highest quality.

As biltong is a natural, perishable product that requires proper storage and handling once it leaves our premises, we have the following process to assist you efficiently should an issue arise.

Returns & Refunds

If you are not satisfied with your purchase due to a defect, spoilage, or quality concern, please notify us as soon as reasonably possible, and preferably within 48 hours of purchase.

How to Log a Return

To help us assess and resolve your concern promptly, please visit us in store or email info@joubertandmonty.co.za with the following:

  • Proof of Purchase: A photo or copy of your receipt or digital proof of payment
  • Photo Evidence: Clear product description and images showing the issue with the product if emailing us
  • Product Return: The product, preferably in its original packaging, must be returned for inspection

Assessment & Resolution

Once the product has been assessed, we will offer one of the following:

  • Replacement or refund for products found to be unsafe or not fit for consumption
  • This includes issues such as spoilage (for example mould or off smells) or the presence of foreign objects

Important Considerations

  • Returns must include a reasonable quantity of the product (at least 70% of what was purchased) to allow for proper assessment
  • Where a substantial portion of the product has been consumed, we may provide a prorated refund based only on the remaining quantity returned
  • Products that have deteriorated due to improper storage or handling after purchase may not qualify for a refund or exchange

Perishable Goods

Given the perishable nature of biltong, customers are encouraged to store products according to our guidelines and to report any concerns as soon as possible after purchase.
